Project Scope
Change of use for industrial units at South Wood Business Park required our scan and drill service.
Objective
We were tasked to scan the floor area and locate rebar finding safe spots for drilling. Confirm rebar verification, layout, spacing, diameter and cover.
Solution
Various locations on the floor were chosen by the client and marked up. A 1200mm x 1200mm grid was placed over the area, a grid was marked on the floor and each area was scanned using the Hilti PS1000X-scan. The data was immediately transferred on the Hilti PSA100 monitor and an area was located for safe drilling. Prior to drilling a further scan was carried out using the Proceq profocsope to establish rebar cover and diameter. All data was recorded and a full written report was issued to the client within 24 hours.
